New Food Alert! Today ISMS students had a choice of the chicken tenders lunch on the main line, or the salad bar- which included loaded chicken bacon cheesy fries. Thanks to our food service staff for serving our kids and bringing new ideas to the table!

This month’s Whitley County Consolidated Schools’ (WCCS) bus driver spotlight is Steve Corbin. Steve has driven a school bus for WCCS for 8 years. Steve is our “super sub” driver, as he has driven most of our routes. Steve is known by most of the students as the bus driver who tells bad humor
jokes, such as “what do you call an old apple?” “Granny Smith.”
“What do angry bees say?” “Buzz off.”
“What do you call a chicken that runs?” “Fast food.”
Steve also works part-time in the bus garage. He is a volunteer for Boys Scouts of America and serves on the adult leadership teams.
We asked Steve the following questions:
What is your favorite thing about driving a school bus?
"Sports trips and teaching the students how to give directions on bus routes."
What is your favorite school sport?
"Boys and girls HS and middle school soccer."
What is your favorite restaurant?
"El Rancho Mex Grill on County Line Road."
Thank you, Steve for your dedication to WCCS and our families!
