During the Eighth Grade Parent Meeting, CCHS introduced academies and their opportunities.
Eighth-grade parents/guardians need to fill out the form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeu_P-x8_jwAIAL5FXCaYHoZ5wqZPI_uNZX-4TRRcVwZ6Pzyg/viewform?usp=sf_link by December 8.
If you have questions, please connect with the guidance office at CCHS.
Class of 2028 | Parent Meeting is tomorrow, Thursday, November 30, at 6 p.m. in the CCHS Performing Arts Center.
At this meeting, you will receive important information regarding diploma types, graduation requirements, freshman course selection forms, high school course recommendations, and Eagle Tech Academy and our two new academies: Innovation Academy and Service Academy.
Understanding the academy structures and course and diploma options, visiting the building, and meeting high school staff will help ensure a smoother transition into high school for your student, as well as you as the parent!
You and your student must make every effort to attend this event so you will have information about these changes. Every parent must complete an application by December 8 to determine which academy fits their student best. We encourage you to contact a counselor with questions if you cannot attend.
“We should just be thankful for being together. I think that’s what they mean by Thanksgiving, Charlie Brown.” (Marcie, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving)
Today, the 8th grade invited Mark Parker to come in and talk about early American dress and culture. As part of the demonstration, Mr. Parker had some students dress in the uniform of the armies involved in the American Revolution -- Continental, British, and French.

Students and Staff Honors Veterans
"I am so grateful so many in our WCCS Family have rallied behind writing mail call for Honor Flight. We had kindergartners from Mary Raber, Key Club members from the high school, and other elementary and middle school students submit mail earlier this fall.
Most recently, eighth-grade social studies teachers said they will include mail call in their Veteran's Day activities this Friday, and many seventh-grade kiddos wrote mail call letters for their “Kindness Project” in Donna Deam’s class.
Attached are pictures from Beth Hart at Little Turtle of her sweet first graders writing notes for mail call this week.
Thank you all for the ongoing support! I am so grateful for our community!"
This message from Olivia Coons, Indian Springs teacher and Honor Flight Volunteer, highlights some of our WCCS involvement for Veterans Day.
Also, remember the Indian Springs Veterans Fish Fry is tonight!
Just a reminder that our Veterans Fish Fry is TOMORROW (11/9) from 4:00 - 6:30. The cost is $10 per person for 12 and over, $7 for ages 5-12. This is an all-you-can-eat meal and includes fish and chicken tenders. Please enter through the Activities Entrance.
Tomorrow is the next ISMS Family Skate Night at Happy Valley.
1 - 2 - 3 - 4... We declare a PENNY WAR... to support the student council's Turkey Run. Turkey Run provides Thanksgiving meals for families in Whitley County. Grade levels will compete against each other with jars in each office.
It's back, so mark your calendars!
Congratulations to the Boys Cross Country team who ended their season as NE8MS Conference Champions!
