🎉 Check Presentation Day! 🎉
Today, our 8th-grade Charitable Champions got to see their hard work pay off as they presented grant checks to four local nonprofit organizations:
💙 Night to Shine
🍼 B.A.B.E.
🏕️ Camp Whitley
🧡 The Center for Whitley County Youth
After powerful finalist presentations in March, members of the HANDS board, comprised of student representatives from all three Whitley County school districts, reviewed the grant proposals and awarded funding to these deserving organizations.
This experience is part of our Charitable Champions project, a collaboration between our 8th-grade team, the Community Foundation of Whitley County, and HANDS. Students learned about local needs, the nonprofit sector, and how they can be a force for positive change in their community.
👏 Huge congratulations to all of our student grant writers — you’re making a lasting impact right here at home!

Yesterday, Mr. Schea's STEM class raced their 3D-printed CO2 cars. Students designed and built these vehicles, then put their engineering skills to the test on the track. Great work by all!

Reminder: 8th grade students will return their Chromebooks and chargers tomorrow at school. Please double-check for these items this evening and send them to school with your student in the morning.

Our 8th grade Social Studies classes took a break from NWEA MAP testing to visit the Whitley County Historical Museum! 🏛️ Students learned so much about local history, including Vice President Thomas Marshall and other Whitley County greats! What an awesome way to connect with our community's past.
