Whitley County's Planning and Building department presented both CCHS Agribusiness Management classes.
They led students through zoning, permitted use, and exemptions and allowed them to plan a rural property in Whitley County.

Kaylen's internship with the Whitley County YMCA After School program allows her to follow her passion for working with children.
"I have benefited from this experience already! I have learned so much more about how children react to situations and how to work with them."

Addy is continuing her preparation for a career in education through her internship with the YMCA After School program.
Addy also participates in the Education Professions program at CCHS.

Molly's internship at Moo-Over has been a significant step toward her future.
"My work-based skills have improved, and I have learned so many tips and tricks that I hadn't known before," Molly said.

Makenna is putting her skills acquired through the CNA program into practice as a Patient Care Tech at Parkview Whitley Hospital.
"I can definitely tell I will have many opportunities to work my way up in the hospital after I graduate. "

Leah can apply the skills she has learned through her business, marketing, and entrepreneurship classes at Poptique Popcorn this semester.
"I love marketing, so collaborating with Poptique on marketing strategies has been my favorite part so far. "

Lily combines her interests in government and history through her internship at the Whitley County Historical Museum.
"I have made many connections and learned the ins and outs of government work and how to apply for a grant," Lilly said.

Megan interns at the Columbia City United Methodist Church Childcare to further her skills and apply what she has learned in the classroom.
"I think internships are a great opportunity if you put in the effort to learn about a future career," Megan said.

More than 80 students are experiencing internships this semester in our community. Today's highlight is Julia.
Julia is interning at Mary Raber Preschool to explore her interest in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
"I'm learning what an occupational therapist will do daily," Julia said of her experience.

Columbia City High School offers an academy structure so all students explore career pathways and gain practical experience for what they will do after high school.

Be Adaptive fabricates custom hunting equipment for disabled individuals.
"Interacting with customers and seeing how the equipment has affected them and their lives" is Hunter's favorite part of his internship.
