The Whitley County Consolidated Schools (WCCS) Board of School Trustees has officially begun the search for the district’s next superintendent. The board will work in partnership with the University Search Team, a collaboration of faculty from Ball State University, Indiana University, Indiana State University and Purdue University, with leadership support from Department of Education staff at these universities.

The University Search Team provides comprehensive search services to school districts across Indiana, helping identify and recruit top candidates to meet each community’s unique needs. The team will collaborate with the WCCS board to engage stakeholders, develop a profile of desired leadership qualities, and present a strong pool of candidates for consideration.

Board members emphasized their commitment to finding a superintendent who will guide WCCS forward in its mission to serve students, staff, and the broader community.

"WCCS is focused on what is best for our students and we will continue implementing that mission. When the board considered who to partner with to find our next superintendent, we knew we needed a quality, experienced and connected team.  The University Search Team brings the entire package to the table.  They have a long history of finding and placing high quality superintendents with Indiana Schools.  We look forward to working with them," said Dave Smitth, WCCS Board of School Trustees President.

The University Team is asking our stakeholders to complete a survey to help our superintendent search. Your participation in this survey will help the school board determine what is needed in selecting our next superintendent.
