Driver's Education

The driver's education course at CCHS costs $350. Our program consists of 30 hours of online coursework and 6 hours of in-person driving with a certified instructor.  Coursework must be completed with CCHS (TeachSafe).

CCHS offers driver's education for CCHS students only. If your student is not a CCHS student, you may follow this link for a list of other Driver's Education schools in your area.

Online coursework is taught through Teach Safe. Students will have 90 days to complete coursework. If the coursework is not completed in that timeframe, an additional fee of $30 can be paid to receive an additional 30 days to complete the coursework.

To sign up for In-Person Drive Times, a student must have completed the online coursework.

Students must have their driver's permit to sign up for any driving times.

Driving sessions will be released three times a year via Sign-Up Genius.

  • In May (for driving sessions occurring in June - August)

  • In August (for driving sessions occurring in Sept.- Dec.)

  • In December (for driving sessions occurring in Jan. - May)

A driving session consists of 6 days, and each day is a 3-hour time period. Each session will have three student spots available so that each student will get a total of 6 hours of in-person driving.
