Welcome to Indian Springs Middle School
Here, we're dedicated to education through inquiry and the development of young people who will become responsible and respectful citizens. We offer several STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) activities for students and integrate important life skills in all courses of study. The staff at Indian Springs Middle School are specially trained for both special education and high ability learners, providing education experiences for all students. The extracurricular and athletic programs at ISMS compete yearly at the state level and the arts program has been nationally recognized. As the only middle school at WCCS, Indian Springs Middle School integrates the four elementary schools into one cohesive learning community where students are 'teamed' with teachers for an entire year of study.
CLUBS: Any student interested in Art Club or Homework Club needs to turn in a permission slip to the 7th grade office at least one day before attending. Art Club usually fills up and has a waiting list so turn in your permission slip as soon as possible. Students interested in FFA or Livestock Judging can also get a paper from the 7th grade office. You can also, see Mr. Johnson, Mr. Olinski or Mr. Johns for more info.
PARENTS: The Emergency Dismissal Practice scheduled for October 20 has been canceled.
Whitley County Consolidated Schools is pleased to announce that we have been approved by the Indiana Department of Education to utilize eLearning Days when school would otherwise be closed due to inclement weather. The district’s eLearning days are an extension of our vision to prepare our students to be “Ready for Tomorrow.” In addition to providing our students with skills and experiences in a blended learning environment, eLearning days also enable us to maintain continuity in student learning and reduce the need for make-up days tagged onto the end of the school year. Please explore the resources provided, as well as the list of frequently asked questions. If you have any remaining questions, feel free to contact your child’s principal and we will be happy to answer any of your questions. Learn More!
