Through surprising insights from authors and brain scientists solutions emerge on how we can empower kids to best navigate the digital world.
What the Experts Have to Say About SCREENAGERS:
Parenting in the 21st Century is not an easy task. Students today are constantly bombarded with information that may, or may not be factual. Their lives are on display 24/7 through social media, and they have no shortage of detrimental role models when it comes to appropriate online behavior. Every day, a politician, sports figure, or celebrity sparks controversy and career destruction with an obnoxious tweet, a scandalous text, or an embarrassing photo posted online. As parents and educators, we must work together to provide our children with the tools and strategies necessary to navigate this ever changing landscape.
Parent University was held on May 9, 2017, at Indian Springs Middle School, to discuss parenting strategies, potential harmful apps that your children may be using, and we heard from legal experts about the ramifications of inappropriate decisions in the digital world.
