This Firefighter I/II course is certified by the Indiana Board of Firefighting Personnel Standards and Education. This course is designed to be completed within 2 years to receive each of the certifications offered which will provide basic firefighter knowledge and skills on all mandated facets of FIREFIGHTER I/II training. Upon successful completion of your training, you will possess the basic skills, background, and foundation upon which to build competency as a firefighter.
This is a very unique opportunity for high school students to receive this training while attending school. This program is not allowed to be offered to a young adult who is under the age of 18 in the State of Indiana outside of a school setting. After successfully earning the certifications offered, you will have provided yourself a jumpstart toward a public safety career, saved yourself valuable time should you decide to join the volunteer fire department in your community, and/or made yourself marketable to many other career fields.
