• Admission Criteria

    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Ranked in the top half of the class
    • Pass end of course assessments in English and Algebra
    • On track for an academic and/or technical honors diploma
    • Parent/guardian approval


    Application Process for 1st time IPFW students:

    • Students will sign up for eligible courses during scheduling in January.
    • Permission slips will be sent home to parents (Students will NOT automatically be registered for dual credit without parent permission).
    • Students will need to set up an E-Transcript account at (Students will need to do this from home as they need to access their email and they cannot do this from school.)
    • Students who meet criteria will be called down to the library to complete IPFW’s on-line application and electronically submit their E-Transcript.
    • A list of students completing the above will be sent to IPFW, and after IPFW verifies that the students meet all criteria, they will be registered for Dual Credit.

    Fees and payment

    • Precalculus - (6-credits)
    • AP Calculus - (4-credits)
    • Probability and Statistics - (3-credits)
    • Fees are for the 2012-2013 academic year. Fees for the 2013-2014 academic year have not been determined and are subject to change.
    • Scholarships are sometimes available through IPFW for students in need.
    • After admission into the program, IPFW will send a letter to the student’s home address which will include a username and password needed to set up an on-line “myIPFW” account. To set up your myIPFW account, visit the following link:
      • At myIPFW, you will be able to view your billing information and make an on-line payment.


    Process for Dropping a Course

    • If you need to drop/withdraw from the college portion of your dual credit course, you must e-mail the Collegiate Connection Office at or call 260-481-5478.
    • The deadline to drop a class and receive a full or partial refund varies depending on which trimester the student is taking the class. A refund schedule is available here: IPFW Collegiate Connection Student Handbook 2018-2019


    Credit Transfer

    • Most IPFW courses are transferable to other public universities in Indiana. Many private and out-of-state colleges also accept transfer credit.
    • Parents and students are responsible for verifying the transfer of credits to their specific college or institution of interest. Visit the Indiana CORE Transfer Library: or contact your prospective post-secondary institution directly.
