• Executive Director of Innovation and Construction Liaison, Jacob HoagAccording to John Maxwell, “most of us look at our days in the wrong way: We exaggerate yesterday. We overestimate tomorrow. We underestimate today. The truth is that the most important day you will ever experience is today. Today is the key to your success.” As our team of teachers, instructional leaders, support staff and administrators prepare students in Whitley County Consolidated Schools to be Ready for Tomorrow we are focusing on the skills they need to be successful TODAY. These skills include the ability to work with others, to think critically to solve problems, and to communicate verbally and through writing. Our schools are preparing students to be Ready for Tomorrow by grounding technology use in principles of great teaching. We believe that sound instructional practices infused with technology and innovative learning skills provide students with a solid foundation. This foundation will enable students to thrive in a world that has yet to be discovered and to hold jobs that have yet to be determined, thereby making them Ready for Tomorrow.
