Hello! It is my privilege to serve as the superintendent of the Whitley County Consolidated Schools. Working with our staff to help all of our students reach their potential is important and I so enjoy being part of this TEAM atmosphere. Each day in our schools is another opportunity to enhance the learning process for our students, and for all of us as well. Education is a fascinating field because we can interact with our youth, our future citizens and leaders of tomorrow in a personal manner. We strive to work together to provide an atmosphere of caring blended with a responsibility to serve. We consider it an honor to work with these youth and to help them find individual success and grow and learn under our care. Parents, too, are an integral component in this process and we appreciate what parents do to support our schools. We also welcome parent volunteers and input. Working together, as one school community, is an incredible challenge in bringing everyone together for a shared understanding of our purpose and mission. But, if we maintain our focus on that one important component, what it is really all about, we can form goals for our students and form plans to meet those goals. That key statement is really quite simple-what is best for kids. Each of our decisions should be driven with this in mind. How can we work together to do what is best for kids, for our WCCS youth? This must be paramount in our minds as we go about our day to day functions. Thank you to all staff, parents, and community members who assist us at WCCS in helping our students LEARN & GROW!!
