Youth Improvement Center
The Youth Improvement Center opened in February, 1997. The Center was developed to address the lack of sentencing alternatives available to the Whitley County Juvenile Court. Youth who commit serious offenses or who have repeatedly broken standard rules of probation may be required to attend the Center. The Center runs Monday through Friday and an individual may be in the program 12-16 weeks. The Central Components of the program are physical training, education, and counseling.
