Marshall Community Center - Passages

It is the mission of Passages to join with others to assist and support people to live, learn, and work in the community. Housed in the downstairs section of the Marshall Community Center are administrative offices, Supported Living Services, Employment Services, and Early Intervention. Financial Services are located upstairs.

Passages' Supported Living Program assists people with disabilities who live in apartments and homes of their own with budgeting, keeping a check book, keeping health appointments, safety, transportation and constructive use of leisure time. Each person has individual goals that he/she is working on with the goal of achieving independence.

Passages' Employment Program works with people with disabilities and people on welfare to gain community jobs, After assessment of the person's skills and abilities, individuals are educated in putting together a resume and interviewing for a job. Both short and long-term supports are available once the person obtains a job with the goal long-term retention.

Passages First Steps Early Intervention Services provides occupational, physical, speech and development therapy for children from birth to three years with development delays. Parents are educated in how to stimulate the child so that the important brain development occurs.

Passages Administrative and Financial Services provide clerical support, human resources, management information systems and accounting for the entire organization including our Tower view site, three group homes, the Second Time Around used clothing store and the rest stops at Arcola and Auburn in addition to the Marshall site.
