After School Clubs

All clubs (except the ART Club) are open to any interested student in grades 6, 7 and 8, but each club is limited to the first twenty students who enroll.  If you are interested in signing up your child for one or more of these clubs, please fill out and return the permission slip.  A new permission slip/note will be required to attend each club meeting.  All permission slips should be turned in to the 7th grade office prior to each club meeting. 

General Information

A.M. Homework Club

The purpose of this club is to assist students as they complete homework.  Students may sign up on an as needed basis or may sign up as regular club members.  Another purpose of this club is skill development, rather than just homework assistance. 

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • November 12 - February 20
  • 7:10-8:10 a.m.
  • Mrs. Thornburg (Room 807)

P.M. Homework Club

The purpose of this club is to assist students as they complete homework.  Students may sign up on an as needed basis or may sign up as regular club members.  Another purpose of this club is skill development, rather than just homework assistance. 

  • Mondays and Wednesdays
  • November 13 - February 19
  • 3:45-5:00 p.m.
  • Mrs. Rowe (Room 803)

Art Club

The purpose of this class is to develop skills in art such as, drawing and painting, digital photography, and arts and crafts. Some students may use this time to develop artwork for competitions such as Scholastics Art Awards or the Whitley County Art Fest.

  • Tuesdays
  • November 12 - February 18
  • 3:45-5:00 p.m.
  • Mrs. Hilger (2-D Art Room)

Agriculture & Livestock Judging Club

The purpose of this class is to develop skills in agriculture and leadership through fun and hands on activities.  The students will learn the importance of Agriculture and FFA and how they can affect their lives. They will also be competing at Hoosier Beef Congress and in a county contest as well as in an area contest.
