Why a new high school?

·    Our course offerings must be relevant to students while giving them the latest skills to compete globally.

·    We must add technology.  Technology helps develop critical thinking skills which are highly necessary to compete in the 21^st century.

·    Departments are presently scattered throughout our building which limits our ability to work in teams or groups. 

·    We do not have an area for any kind of large group meetings.  

·    Establishing college courses (and distance learning) on a high school campus would allow students to obtain a high school diploma and an associate’s degree at the same time.

The skill bar is rising.  Regardless of what occupation a student pursues, we must offer students the opportunity to learn and be competent in the following areas:

• Academic skills

• Technology skills

• Thinking skills

• People skills
