CCHS Student Council is responsible for both social and governmental aspects at school. The students are elected to one year terms by their class. Each class gets at least 5 representatives, along with officers returning from the previous year. Student Council plans Homecoming, Winterfest, Spring O' Ling, the Semi-Formal Dance, the Birdcage, and the Sadie Hawkins dance along with meeting with the Student Leadership Advisory Council that handles student concerns.
