  1. Graduation Products - Jostens School Spirit's phone number is 1-260-483-1825.  Graduation products (announcements, cap/gown, etc.) will be delivered MARCH 27, 10:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Auditorium.  Balances due when you pick up your items.
  2. Class of 2008 planning ahead.
  • Honors Convocation: Monday, May 19, 2008 - 7:00 p.m. Newell Rice Auditorium
  • (The following dates could change if weather causes the school year to be extended.)
    • Senior Finals: May 23, 2008 (periods 1, 3, and 5), May 27, 2008 (periods 2 and 4)
    • Rehearsal wearing Cap and Gown (Picture will be taken receiving diploma): May 28, 2008 - 8:30 a.m. Gym
    • Senior Picnic: May 28, 2008 - noon
  • This is a Firm date:
    • Commencement: Friday, June 6, 2008-7:30 p.m.
      Donald S. Weeks Gymnasium (Guest Admittance by ticket only) (Each senior student gets 10 tickets, available in April.
  1. E Transcript. Go online to the CCHS homepage, click on Guidance, and follow the link for instructions as to how to register for "e Transcript", the free way to have your transcripts sent to most colleges and universities. htttp://wccs.k12.in.us/cchs/depts/guid/index.html
  2. Scholarships. Information can be accessed through the CCHS website. Click on Guidance, and then click on Scholarships. Also, hard copies can be found in the "Scholarship" drawer in the Main Office, as they become available.
  3. FAFSA deadline is March 10. ALL college bound seniors: please speak with your parents about  completing and mailing the FAFSA Financial Aid Form so it is received by the deadline of March 10. Information and the form are obtainable on line at www.fafsa.ed.gov Failure to complete this documentation by the deadline will result in the college you will be attending and the Federal and State government agencies declining the release of monetary funds for college!! It can be extremely costly if you don't complete this form.  Please speak with your counselor, if you have questions.
  4. Book Fees and Library Fines. This is just a reminder that you must have your book fees and library fines taken care of before graduation. See Mrs. Brunner, Bookstore Manager, for outstanding book fees and Mrs. Robinson, Library, for library fines information.
  5. SAT & ACT. Have you registered for or taken these tests? Most colleges/universities require the results of one of these tests on your application to their school. Information about registering, test sites, and dates can be found in the Main Office.
  6. School in Session. Because of February inclement weather, our last three Make-up Days will be "school in session" days.
    • May 2, 2008 for Snow Day, Feb. 1, 2008
    • May 16, 2008 for Fog Day, Feb. 4, 2008
    • May 23, 2008 for Fog Day, Feb. 5, 2008
  7. www.wccs.k12.in.us/cchs On the CCHS website you may access The Zone calendar. This calendar is updated as events are added or changed. It includes athletics and facility events at CCHS.
  8. College Cost Estimator Meeting. Guidance will present an opportunity for you to gain insight from professional Barb Hall on college costs and financial aid available. This meeting will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 6:30-8:00 p.m., in the Auditorium. Barb has much experience in this area and comes to CCHS with many practical points on this important aspect of life beyond high school.
  9. Midterm Student led Parent Teacher Conferences. April 24, 2008 you are encouraged to make appointments with your student's teachers, 3:30-5:20 p.m. ALL Parents are welcome to make appointments with teachers that evening. If that does not work out for you, please know that you are always welcome and encouraged to contact teachers/Guidance Counselors for information on your student's progress.
  10. Senior Middle Names. Several seniors still need to supply Mrs. Leiter with their MIDDLE NAME - not just an initial - for their diploma.
