Board of School Trustees

The Board of Education for the Whitley County School Corporation consists of nine (9) members elected by the district voters. The Board conducts a Work Session on the first Tuesday of each month in order to receive information prior to their business meeting. Although the Board reserves the right to conduct its business as necessary, the general purpose of these work sessions is to receive important information prior to making decisions for the corporation.

  The business meeting is conducted on the third Tuesday of each month and is broadcast LIVE on WJHS, 91.5 FM beginning at approximately 7:00pm whenever possible. WJHS 91.5 FM will also re-broadcast the business meetings on the Wednesday following the Tuesday business meeting beginning at 7:00 pm.

The public is encouraged and invited to attend both the work and business sessions.

The Board wrote this mission statement:

"The Whitley County School Board will provide leadership and direction to staff and community in order to produce highest student achievement for all. We will model the use of school improvement tools as we conduct the business of the organization and ensure adequate resources for the completion of our aligned goals."
