Opening Fall 2011

 

Welcome to the online home of Eagle Tech Academy!

 

Eagle Tech Academy, Whitley County Consolidated Schools’ exciting new educational venture, will open its doors in the fall of 2011.  Part of the New Tech Network, the school will offer a different way of learning that’s focused on technology, group projects, integrated class subjects and a culture that empowers trust and respect.

 

Take a look around.  Here you’ll find information about what you can expect from ETA and the New Tech Network, how you can enroll and updates on construction of the open and inviting ETA building.

Eagle Tech Academy
Class of 2016 parents and students, Eagle Tech Academy is hosting an informational meeting. There will be representatives from post-secondary institutions, current ETA students and teachers discussing the college and project-based learning aspects of ETA.  The following questions as well as the ETA culture will be addressed.
  • How is the collegiate institutions approaching PBL with professors?
  • How are PBL "New Tech" students perceived as they enter college and are they prepared for the rigor of college?
  • How are PBL experiences at the collegiate levbel impacting the learning environment? Are "New Tech" students employable?

ETA Informative Meeting
Eagle Tech Academy is a member of the New Tech Network.  This group of schools specialize in a Project-Based Learning Instructional design that provides real-world applications to student learning. The result is a rigorous and relevant learning environment that infuses technology, state standards, and 21st-Century skills into a dynamic curriculum.
